Volledige studieopdracht voor de opmaak van een masterplan voor de globale restauratie en herbestemming van het Sint-Godelieveklooster in Brugge (incl. supervisie voor de kwaliteitsbewaking) en de uitvoering van een eerste fase. De uitvoering van volgende fasen vormt een voorwaardelijk deel van de opdracht.

De Sint-Godelieveabdij werd hier gesticht in 1586, toen de benedictinessen van Sint-Godelieve van Gistel hun toevlucht zochten binnen de stad Brugge. Het Sint-Godelieveklooster is geleidelijk aan gebouwd en uitgebreid. Het geheel beslaat een ruime oppervlakte tussen de Boeveriestraat en de Koning Albert I-laan, met ruime tuinen. Het kloostercomplex behield nagenoeg zijn historisch gegroeide aanleg met de kerk en het zusterkoor van 1626 aan de oostzijde van de Boeveriestraat. In het verlengde hiervan ligt het ingangsgebouw van 1633 en haaks op de kerk de zuidvleugel van 1643. Tegen de oostgevel van de kerk loopt een kloostergang rondom een vierkant binnenhof. Haaks op het ingangsgebouw ligt de vleugel van 1885. In 1953 wordt een - niet als monument mee beschermde - vleugel toegevoegd naar een ontwerp van de Brugse architect A. Degeyter, als verbinding tussen de vleugels van 1643 en 1885. Hierdoor wordt de oostzijde van de tuin afgesloten.
