Assessment of the Competitiveness of Clean Energy Technologies
The contract should provide data on different clean energy technologies to support the preparation of the annual Competitiveness Progress Reports required under the Regulation on the Governance of the Energy Union, for the years 2023, 2024 and – to a certain extent – 2025. In particular the contract fills in data gaps for specific technologies and should include social, economic, and environmental indicators, as well as look at the international dimension.
The services shall provide support to the European Commission in the preparation and dissemination of the annual Competitiveness Progress Reports of clean energy technologies, the European Commission’s annual report that aims to map the competitiveness of the EU clean energy industry, and to assess whether clean energy technology development is on track to deliver the EU’s long-term energy and climate goals, while addressing new emerging challenges.
