Le marché vêtements de travail doit être réalisée en tenant compte des impacts environnementaux susceptibles d'être générés par la fabrication des vêtements afin de prévenir ces impacts et les risques qu'ils font peser tant sur l'environnement, la santé des personnes engagées dans la fabrication des vêtements.

Les candidats doivent apporter la preuve que les unités de fabrication des étoffes disposent de dispositifs adaptés et/ou que la fabrication de vêtements dans son ensemble limite certaines substances dangereuses.

Des exigences pour les personnes portant les vêtements portent sur le respect des lois et règlements en vigueur fixant des valeurs limites pour le contenu en substances dangereuses des produits textiles et, d'autre part, sur l'acidité, le formaldéhyde, les métaux lourds, les phénols chlorés, les phtalates, les colorants.

En outre, aucun produit biocide susceptible d'être actif lors de l'utilisation des produits proposés par les candidats ne doit leur être appliqué.
