Provisions undertaken within the boundaries or Coventry City and Warwickshire County or any other areas which are included in the CSW Broadband project Data map.
Warwickshire County Council has previously invested public funds through two contracts to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure into areas where no commercial deployments were planned, as verified through State Aid Public Consultation processes. These contracts were designed to meet the UK Government's target of 95 % superfast coverage nationally by the end of 2017. The CSW Broadband Project has to date extended the reach of superfast broadband to more than 50,000 premises.
The proposed procurement (Contract 3) being consulted here aims to secure a provider or providers to deploy NGA infrastructure delivering access line speeds of at least 30Mbps to premises that will not be reached by NGA deployments under the previous two contracts.
The contract value is dependent on funding bids currently with the EU and LEP so a range from 8 000 000 GBP to 20 000 000 GBP is being advised to the market.
Please see II.2.14) Additional information and VI.3) Additional information for more details.
A proportion of the works undertaken, following a successfully awarded procurement, will be funded by the European Structural & Investment Funds (ESIF)
The future procurement process will be run electronically using the Authority's tendering portal. https://in-tendhost.co.uk/csw-jets/aspx/Home Registration onto the portal is free and all relevant documentation will be available to bidders.
