Framework for the Provision of Training Services to the Workways+ Project in South West Wales.
Workways+ is a collaborative project between five Local Authorities in South West Wales, funded by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government. The project is led by Neath Port Talbot Council in collaboration with Carmarthenshire County Council, Ceredigion County Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and The City and County of Swansea.
The Workways+ project targets the economically inactive and long term unemployed within the non-Communities First geographical boundaries of the Local Authorities, providing client centred, wrap around support. The aim of the project is to assist in the transition into sustainable employment by overcoming barriers to work, whilst exploring various supporting agencies, training and work opportunities.
The support available to participants includes:
— Co-ordinated Employment Gateway: Ensuring access to all available support.
— Effective Mentor Support: Dedicated one to one advice, guidance and support.
— Job Focused Training: Identifying job specific training opportunities.
— Employer Liaison: Supporting employers to employ local people.
— Return to work support: All aspects of job search techniques and Work Tasters.
Neath Port Talbot Council are seeking suitably qualified and experienced training providers to deliver a range of courses to the Workways+ participants.
There are no restrictions on the types of training that are made available to participants as it is occupation led.
