The Council is seeking to dispose of land at Former Woodford Lodge High School, Winsford. The development will consist of a mix of for sale, affordable rent and shared ownership. The Council has secured supplemental borrowing approval for its Housing Revenue Account to enable the construction of affordable housing (30 % of the total number of housing units) on this site.
The Bidder will be expected to identify land allocated for affordable and shared ownership use and to construct properties on that land for the Council.
The Council will purchase the affordable rental and shared ownership properties for an agreed price in accordance with the specification set out in the ITT.
The Bidder will be expected to provide the Council with a capital receipt for the remainder of the development site on which it will be free to develop ‘for sale’ housing.
The Bidder will be granted a building licence in respect of the HRA housing.
Housing management of the HRA properties will be added to the Council's existing Housing Management Contract.
