Pallant House Gallery are inviting tenders from multi disciplinary design teams which will provide the following services under 1 contract:

— lead designer/architect including conservation architectural advice and production of management and maintenance plan (heritage fund requirement),

— structural engineer,

— services engineer,

— lighting designer,

— fire engineer,

— access advisor,

— principal designer,

— contract administrator,

— wayfinding/signage designer.

The project will greatly improve the visitor experience, particularly on the ground floor as well as, repair, conserve and extend both the existing building and the Coach House.

Applicants will then be shortlisted and 5-7 applicants will be invited to submit a tender. These applicants will be required to sign a non disclosure agreement before the invitation to tender is submitted.

There is an option for a project with additional scope. The details of this are commercially sensitive. Additional information will be provided within the invitation to tender documentation (subject to tenderers signing a non-disclosure agreement). Tenderers will be invited to price for this option at tender stage. We anticipate a decision on whether or not additional scope is to be included when awarding the contract. However, we reserve the right to extend the scope during the course of the contract. Note that the construction value of additional scope is in the region of 500 000 GBP to 750 000 GBP but is subject to further review and indicatively only at this stage.
