This competitive dialogue is leading to procure services for deployment, configuration, development and maintenance of a collaborative platform for EU-RAIL, addressing railway sector needs aimed at fostering the development of a digital engineering ecosystem and at making available to stakeholders the resulting digital resources.

Digitalisation of the European rail system is a transformational capability necessary to meet the objectives and produce the impacts as described in the EU-RAIL master plan and the EU-RAIL multi-annual work programme. This competitive dialogue is leading to procure services for deployment, configuration, development and maintenance of a collaborative platform for EU-RAIL, addressing railway sector needs aimed at fostering the development of a digital engineering ecosystem and at making available to stakeholders the resulting digital resources.

The framework contract should provide tools that will be required to support the collaborative work of the system pillar and innovation pillar activities for the entire duration of the EU-RAIL programme (December 2031). The EU-RAIL programme requires a multi-annual implementation of different and successive research and innovation projects as recognised by Council Regulation (EU) 2021/2085.
