Tenders for a turnkey contract: K201 Renovation of building A.

The Norwegian Construction and Property Management Department has, in consultation with the Norwegian Correctional Services, decided to renovate the Central Building/Building A at Trondheim Prison. The building has 3 floors and a total area of approx. 3 850 m2. It was originally constructed in 1971, and expanded in 1990 and again in 2002.

Parts of the tender documentation will only be sent after a signed self-declaration has been received. Cf. the comment in point 1.1 in the tender invitation.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The renovation of building A includes, amongst other things, replacing the technical installations, ventilation, redecorating existing areas and some alterations. The building will be closed for the work, but the central guard (in the A building) and the rest of the prison will be in operation throughout the construction period. Separate temporary access is to be established to the building, as well as provisional barracks will house functions that must move out of the building for the renovation.

An option price must also be submitted for the expansion of the women's department and the health department (including alterations to the 2nd floor). Attention is drawn to the fact that the building is grade 2 listed (primarily protection of the exterior). This gives guidelines on keeping the current expression of the building.

Tenderers are required to have satisfactory financial implementation ability. The extent of the size will also be emphasised.

Complete financial statements for the last year, including the audit report, alternatively StartBANK ID.

The Norwegian Construction and Property Management Department reserves the right to carry out a credit rating of all tenderers.

The contractor is required to have sufficient experience from assignments with comparative value.

A description must be submitted of up to 3 reference projects with comparative value with information on:

— the project name,

— contracting authority,

— the project's size in m2 and costs,

— type of building,

— the assignment's contract value excluding VAT,

— the type of contract (if this is a turnkey contract, if own employees or sub-contractors have planned the project),

— the company's assignments/role in the project,

— the start-up date and completion date (year)/if not completed — where one is in the project.

If the company/companies that will carry out the engineering design services are not the same as those who carried out the engineering design services in the reference projects in point 1, the engineering design company/companies that will carry out the engineering design services, must document up to 3 reference projects with a comparative value, with the information stated in point 1 above, as well as in which phases the assignments were carried out.
