The Defence Clothing Team, which forms part of Leidos Supply Ltd, is considering the potential requirement for the provision of a range of occupational footwear. The footwear is likely to be advertised in separate packages comprising:
— Package 1 — good-year welted;
— Package 2 — cemented/blake sewn;
— Package 3 — military safety footwear;
— Package 4 — civilian safety footwear.
The proposed contract length for each package will be up to a maximum of 4 years commencing indicatively in January 2017. The total estimated value for all packages is 28 000 000 GBP (VAT included), with a 4-year delivery period from June 2017 to June 2021.
The customer base is circa 180 000 personnel, including the Reserve Forces.

Leidos Supply Ltd intends to hold an Industry Day on the 23rd and 24.3.2016. The venue and agenda will be confirmed to those suppliers that have registered their interest.

From 2.4.2014 the Government is introducing its new Government Security Classifications Policy (GSC) to replace the current Government Protective Marking Scheme. A key aspect of this is the reduction in the number of security classifications used.
