Explanation:

The Jules Horowitz Reactor (JHR) is one of the key types of infrastructures in the area of nuclear science and technology. This materials testing reactor (MTR) is built according to the current state of the art in experimental and numerical simulation techniques, including in relation to fusion. It is the sole facility in the countries, which signed the Government Procurement Agreement, that fulfils the sought technical parameters (indicated in the tender specification), namely characteristics of the neutron flux produced by the reactor and necessary variety of the experimental equipment and irradiation conditions. As such it has the advanced material and nuclear fuel testing capabilities that can assure the experimental needs of Euratom.
