Anti-counterfeiting Blockathon Infrastructure Design Contest
The objective of the challenge is to design a blockchain-based compliance infrastructure that authenticates products and exchange data between all parties in the supply chain. Its protocol would support the recording of goods scanned by manufacturers, logistics operators, customs and other enforcement authorities. The combination of product identification, tokenisation, serialisation and the cryptographic safeguards of blockchain will provide a substantial increase in anticounterfeiting measures.

Section IV: Procedure
The maximum budget for this design contest amounts to EUR 100 000. EUR 50 000 is for honoraria and EUR 50 000 for the prize to the winner of the contest. The maximum budget for honoraria will amount to EUR 10 000 per candidate (or group of candidates).
The prize and the honoraria will be paid to the participant’s representative (in case of joint application, to the representative of the consortium) in one instalment by bank transfer within a maximum of 60 days from the date of the notification of the results.

The contest documents will be available for download at the address indicated under heading I.3). The website will be updated regularly and it is the tenderers' responsibility to check for updates, modifications or answers to questions during the tendering period.
In case of unavailability or disruptions in the functioning of the electronic means of communication provided in section I.3) in the last five calendar days before the time limit for receipt indicated in section IV.2.2), the contracting authority reserves the right to extend this time limit and publish the extension at the Internet address provided in section I.3), without a preceding publication of a corrigendum to this notice. Economic operators interested in this procurement are invited to subscribe to the call for tenders at the address in section I.3) in order to get notified when new information or documents are published.
Within two months of the notification to the plaintiff, or, in absence thereof, of the day on which it came to the knowledge.
