II.4)Short description of nature and scope of works
Islington Council is committed to making Islington a fairer place to live and work, and an efficient repairs and maintenance service is a priority. The service aims to demonstrate a positive impact on our residents' health and well-being by maintaining properties which are safe and fit for purpose.
Islington Council will be inviting suitable expressions of interest from experienced roofing and scaffolding contractors in support of the Council's in-house teams.
This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for information only. It is not a formal invitation to tender.
You will need to respond to the contract notice in order to be considered for this contract. The purpose of this PIN is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming contract notice.
All details in this PIN are subject to being updated or changed in the final contract notice.
It is anticipated that this agreement will be in place for up to 4 years, subject to the Council's governance procedures. The estimated cost of the work is based on the aggregate whole life cost of up to 4 years.

The Council is planning to utilise the Restricted Procedure for this process (subject to change).
