Early Learning and Childcare Expansion 2020
To undertake the construction of 5 new nursery pavilions at the following locations to provide high quality flexible Nursery accommodation by August 2020:
— Eaglesham Primary School Family Centre,
— Busby Primary School Family Centre,
— Crookfur Pavilion Family Centre,
— Overlee Pavilion Family Centre,
— Glenwood Family Centre.
East Renfrewshire Council is therefore looking to appoint a single experienced and suitably qualified Tier 1 contractor to construct 5 separate new family centres across the authority at the following site locations:
— Easglesham Primary School,
— Busby Primary School,
— Crookfur Pavilion,
— Overlee Pavilion,
2 building types have been developed by the design team.
Type 1 is the 120 place family centre (to be located on four sites).
Type 2 the 180 place family centre (to be located on one site).
In addition the Council wants to augment 2 new family centres with a sports and community extension to enhance facilities further at the Crookfur site and at the Overlee site.
The estimated value of 18 400 000 GBP reflect the build only element for all 5 sites. The estimated total project value is in the region of 20 000 000 GBP, this includes furniture, fit-out and fees.

Based on the total value and term of the contract being offered the Council expects you to meet a minimum of 400 Community Benefits points. The total number of points can be disaggregated per site. If you are successful in the award of this contract you will be required to communicate/meet with Lorna Wallace, Community Benefits Lead to finalise the benefits that you are offering under this contract and agree on a method statement and monitoring arrangements.
