THE GIS OF NEW 6th OCTOBER 500/220/22 kV GIS SUBSTATION

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has requested the participation of the European Development Partners (EIB, European Commission, AFD, and KFW) - hereinafter referred to as EDPs - to finance the Substation Contract for New 6th October 500/220/22 kV GIS Substation.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), hereinafter called “Owner” invites sealed Tenders from International Tenderers for engineering, design, manufacturing, factory testing, site delivery, civil works, erection, testing at site, commissioning, putting in operation, insurance till provisional acceptance, warranty, training and technical assistance during warranty period for New 6th October 500/220 kV GIS S/S and the specified fire fighting systems.

The scope also include the erection, putting in operation of 3x750 MVA, 500/220/22 kV three single phase Autotransformers plus one spare phase (totally ten (10) single phase Autotransformers 500/√3 // 220/√3 // 22/√3 kV, 250 MVA each) with their accessories, O.L.T.C, AVRs, and 22 kV air insulated bus duct systems to connect the 22 kV windings of autotransformer phases in Delta outside the transformer tanks, as specified.

The completion period (18) months from the date of the Contract signature.

A complete set of Tendering Document may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application in one original and two copies, accompanied by payment receipt of US$ 2,000 (only the amount of two thousands US Dollars) from National Bank of Egypt-Nasr City Branch - Cairo, Egypt. (Account No. 11001007177).

All Tenders must be submitted in two envelopes (A & B) clearly marked “New 6th October 500/220/22 kV GIS Substation - Package (A)” and be accompanied by Tender security US$ 500,000 (only five hundred thousand US$) in the form of Tender security, and must be delivered by hand to:
EGYPTIAN ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION COMPANY, ABBASIA, CAIRO, EGYPT, ATTENTION: HEAD OF PURCHASING AND STORES SECTOR
On or before 9th of February, 2017 at 12:00 noon Cairo local time. Envelope (A) of Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of those Tenderers' representatives who choose to attend. Envelope (B) of Tenders will be opened for the technically accepted Tenders on date will be announced later.

Tenders will be valid for (180) days started from the opening date of the technical envelope.

Envelope (A) & Envelope (B) must be submitted simultaneously at the same time.
