The purpose of this call for tenders is to establish a service contract with an economic operator who will produce Corine land cover for the 2018 reference year (CLC2018), the change layer between 2012 and 2018 and the revised CLC2012 products for Denmark, Latvia, Switzerland and the 6 west Balkan countries.

This call for tenders is open on equal terms to all natural and legal persons from one of the 28 Member States of the European Union and to all natural and legal persons established in an EEA member country, which has signed an agreement with the European Commission for participation in the Copernicus programme.

The services shall mainly be performed at the contractor's premises (‘extra muros’).

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

This open call for tenders addresses the production of CLC2018, the change layer between 2012 and 2018 and the revised CLC 2012 products for Denmark, Latvia, Switzerland and the 6 west Balkan countries. CLC2018 will be the fifth CLC inventory in Europe, and is planned such that the integrated European results will be available in late 2018 for the drafting of EEA SOER 2020 (the European environment — state and outlook report 2020). This means that the production of CLC2018 shall be finished by end of August 2018. The basic parameters of CLC have not changed during its lifetime, thus maintaining the comparability between consecutive inventories.
