Gebouw Laplace (inmiddels Neuron) werd in 1972 opgeleverd en is centraal gelegen op de TU/e campus. De begane grond is in 2001 gerenoveerd; de rest van het gebouw is verder nooit grootschalig aangepakt.

Het gebouw leent zich straks voor een relatief grote populatie. Dit geeft ook het gewenste ‘sense of community’. Er is plek voor ruim 1.900 gebruikers verdeeld over drie bouwlagen.

Deze aanbesteding kent de volgende doelstellingen:

Door middel van deze aanbesteding wil de TU/e voor gebouw Neuron een uitnodigende en prettige onderwijs, verblijf, studeer en werkomgeving creëren.

Verder dienen de werkzaamheden tegen de juiste prijs kwaliteitverhouding te worden uitgevoerd.

En de gecontracteerde partij dient in staat te zijn om de werkzaamheden conform planning en in een juiste samenwerking met TU/e, interieurarchitect en aannemer uit te voeren.
