Stop System for the Sale of Tickets at the Light Rail Stops Along the Light Rail in Bergen
Skyss is considering to replace the current ticket machines in Bergen. Skyss would, thus like information from potential suppliers on what systems can be delivered for this.
Skyss draws attention to the fact that the information gathered in this process can be shared with other public transport companies.
Paramount requirements for the hardware.
We envisage that the system for selling tickets at the light rail stops must have the following basic qualities:
— physically located at the light rail stops,
— dimensioned to be positioned at a stop,
— suppliers ought to specify weather resistance at component level.
We envisage that the product must be able to handle the following payment systems:
— bank card, including support for contactless cards,
— the system will not be required to handle cash payments.
The customer's travel document/ticket.
The system must be able to produce a travel document for customers.
As a starting point we envisage that the system must, therefore, print out a physical ticket that can be shown upon request, which involves the system having a printer.
The current system for ticketing supports the production and reading of smart cards. Skyss is considering to phase this out. Suppliers are nonetheless asked to specify whether the system supports this technology.
The system must fulfil the minimum requirements for universal design, and must fulfil the following standards:
— CEN/TS 15291:2006,
— NS-EN 1332 -1:2009,
— NS-EN 1332-2:1998,
— NS-EN 1332-3:2008,
— NS-EN 1332-4:2007,
— NS-EN 1332-5:2006,
— NS-EN ISO 9241-20:2009,
— ISO 20282-1:2006,
— ISO/TS 20282-2:2006,
— ISO/TR 22411:2008.
Paramount requirements for the software.
The system must support the sale of single tickets in various categories within a single zone (e.g. child, adult and reduced rate).
The system must generate sales data for a data warehouse (overview of the number of sold tickets, date and category, etc.).
It must be possible to carry out a settlement and balancing in accordance with the current rules.
The system must include an administration interface in order to show the status of the different machines (online/offline, software version, etc.). We would like feedback on what can be offered.
We envisage that communication can go via a fibre network or mobile data.
Procurement — delivery alternative:
Skyss would like feedback from suppliers who can deliver a complete system and suppliers who can deliver parts of the system. For example:
A. The supplier only delivers hardware for ticket machines. In this scenario, the hardware must include an Android unit;
B. The supplier delivers hardware and software for ticket sales.
There will be the following requirements for this solution:
It must be possible to integrate the system with Entur's API for storing tickets (national provision stock), and to obtain prices and products (the price and product module), as well as to obtain QR codes for tickets.
Skyss would like suppliers to indicate the price level of the offered systems. This is to include what drives the prices for the choice of different systems.
