II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

ESTH invites bids from suitably qualified suppliers to provide a turnkey solution to their need for an MRI scanner in a relocatable unit to be provided on the Epsom Hospital site. This will need to fit into a tight space (drawing provided) and supplier will be responsible for arranging to have the unit craned into position. All bidders must arrange a site visit — details provided in specification document. This is to be held on 23 October.

There is a clear and present danger due to the rapidly rising incidence of Covid-19 and the necessity to provide a green patient pathway at Epsom Hospital so this tender will be run to the shortened timescales allowed for in 27(5) of PCR15.

There is a clear and present danger due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 Epsom and St HElier unIversity Hsop[itals NSH Trust has an urgent requirement to develop a green pathway for MRI scanning at Epsom Hospital. This necessitates the urgent acquisition of an MRI scanner in a relocatable unit as a turnkey solution.
