Consultancy for Capacity Building in Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation
Deliver training in the areas of Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation. The training must address the use of virtual technology in Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation and an examination of critical issues in operating Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation regimes.
The expected outputs of this contract are as follows:
• Output 1. A Cadre of key CARIFORUM Stakeholders is trained in Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation.
• Output 2. CARIFORUM nationals certified in Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation at primary, intermediary and postgraduate level.
• Output 3. At least four (4) persons from each CARIFORUM State sensitised on the EPA commitments of the Parties and the opportunities and benefits under the EPA in relation to each of the following - Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation.
Caribbean Forum of ACP States (CARIFORUM).
The expected outcome is:
• Strengthened national and regional institutional capacities for competition, procurement, trade facilitation and customs in CARIFORUM States to implement EPA obligations and take advantage of opportunities under the EPA.
Support to CARIFORUM Member States in furthering the implementation of their Economic Partnership Agreement commitments and in meaningfully reaping the Benefits of Agreement – CRIS 2018/040 – 087 financed under the 11th European Development Fund.
Subsequent to the initial contract resulting from the current tender procedure, new services or works consisting in the repetition of similar services or works, up to the estimated amount of 50,000, may be entrusted to the initial contractor by negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice, provided the new services or works are in conformity with the same basic project.
