The area around Nordre Illevollen in Trondheim is to be upgraded.
The project is part of a larger project that is split into three sub-stretches, and has an area from the junction Kongens gate/St. Olavs gt., Kongens gate towards Ila and Nordre Ilevollen.
This project is for the sub-stretch Nordre Illevollen, which goes along Illaparken past Hjorten welfare centre to the roundabout by the tunnel.
The project will consist of:
- A new double tram track from Bergsligata station to the junction by Kongens gate, except the track that was laid in 2017 between Hjorten welfare centre to Ilevollen 42. Approx. 430 m.
- A new turning track and points so trams can turn in front of Illevollen 48.
- New posts and contact wires for trams.
- A bus stop in front of Hjorten welfare centre (out of the centre) and a new tram stop between Hjorten welfare centre and the park (out of the centre).
- A new joint stop for buses and trams in Nordre Illevollen on the park side (towards the centre).
- The driveway form Hjorten welfare centre must be moved a few meters in order to make room for the bus stop. The surface of the car park must be dug up in order to change the fall conditions for surface water. New asphalt must be laid on the car park.
- New street along Hjorten along to Nordre Illevollen towards Kongens gate, new kerbstones, and a new surface covering.
- New LED street lighting.
- New water and sewage installations along the row of wooden houses in Nordre Illevollen. New surface water pipeline in the pavement outside Hjorten welfare centre.
- New electricity supply cables along the row of wooden houses in Nordre Illevollen.
