This notice aims at reducing time limits for receipt of tenders

Southern Water Mobile Telephony (Prj_939)
Southern Water’s current contract for provision of mobile telephony services is due to expire on 30.9.2019 and it is intended that a new contract be awarded by 30.6.2019 to facilitate effective transition. This activity will seek to develop a Framework Agreement to cover the following:
— transition from current supply arrangements, including issue of replacement SIM cards if required,
— supply of SIM cards and dongles,
— SIM cards for specialist requirements (such as telemetry),
— provision of airtime contracts (voice and data),
— roaming (UK and International),
— provision of a telephony expense management system,
— lone worker service,
— supply of mobile handsets and related accessories (e.g.: car kits) [optional service at Southern Water’s discretion],
— disposal of mobile handsets/accessories.
Southern water intends to appoint a single supplier.
The estimated release of the tender is January 2019, when additional information will be provided.
Key requirements will include: value-for-money; seamless service provision (integrating with in-house mobile management processes and systems); guaranteed network availability; speed and accuracy of request fulfilment and issue resolution (including availability of a portal for access by Southern Water’s Service Desk); provision of reporting capability to maximise efficient use of mobile telephony: capability to execute transition and provide added-value services.
Southern Water intends to appoint a single supplier as result of this ITT.
The contract is expected to run for an initial term of 4 years (48 months). Southern Water will have the option to extend this contract by a further period, or periods, up to 4 years (8 years total).
Further descriptions of “Options” relating to this tender include, but are not limited to, the following mobile telephony and associated services:
— airtime — shared data plans,
— roaming service (international),
— supply of mobile handsets and related accessories (e.g.: car kits).
More detailed descriptions will be included included in the Contract Notice.
Southern Water are under no obligation to purchase any option proposed by the tenderer, but may select to award these services under the agreement during the contract term.
Suppliers should review the Opportunity Listing on the Southern Water Portal (Prj_939) where all tender packs will be made readily available when the tender pack is finalised and released to market.
The below date for issuing the contract notice is subject to change.
