II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The association is seeking an Architect-Led Design Team for Drumoyne Primary School that will consist of architect — (lead), structural engineer, quantity surveyor, principal designer and environmental design consultant.

The project is an existing school, which is still standing (regardless of 2 or 3 fires in its history) an it is B listed and has been derelict for approximately 5 years now. The site is advertised currently by City Properties for sale. A design team, including an architect as lead, structural engineer, quantity surveyor, principal designer and environmental design consultant will be required to take the existing outline feasibility study forward and provide design services to complete the project for the association.

The association proposes to acquire the school, demolish it and replace with 45-50 new housing units per the feasibility. In terms of timescale, it is proposed acquisition will take place during 18/19 with a site start early in 19/20 — these times have been discussed with DRS.
