Invitation to a Market Dialogue on the Climate and Environment in Public Procurements
Trondheim Municipality, Trøndelag County and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology invites suppliers in the goods transport services market to a market dialogue on climate and environment in public procurements on 17.12.2019.
Place: Scandic Lerkendal, Trondheim.
Registration: Fill in this form.
Registration deadline: 12.12.2019
Public entities can influence their own and society's greenhouse gas emissions through the procurement of goods and services. Trondheim municipality, Trøndelag County and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology procure goods and services for approx. 3 000 000 000 NOK per annum. An important part of the procurements involve the transport of goods and services. In 2017, road transport was responsible for approx. 17,7 % of the greenhouse gas emissions in Trøndelag, and transport by goods vans and lorries was responsible for almost half of this.
Trondheim Municipality, Trøndelag County and NTNU are arranging a market dialogue on 17 December, with a focus on how we can cut greenhouse gas emissions in procurements where transport is part of the delivery. We invite existing and potential new suppliers of contracts where the transport of goods and services is part of the assignment. The aim of the event is to communicate our goals for climate and the environment in our organisations, and how we would like to achieve these through contests in the short and longer term. We would like to have input from the market on the most important barriers, challenges, and possibilities for how we can together contribute to reducing the effects that transport in public procurements has on the climate and environment. For example, we would like input on how alternative transport systems can reduce the transport need, how co-loading goods can be carried out in a larger degree, and how the transport sector in Trøndelag can move away from fossile fuel. We would like input on what requirements and criteria can be used in contests in the short term, and what can be achieved in the longer term.
The programme is provisional and can be changed:
— 12.00-12.15 Welcome c/o Trondheim Municipality,
— 12.15-12.45 NTNU,
— 12.45-13.15 Trøndelag County,
— 13.15-13.45 Trondheim Municipality,
— 13.45-14.45 Break and mingling,
— 14.45-15.15 ENOVA,
— 15.15-16.00 Mingling and possibility for one-to-one meetings,
— 16.00 Good journey home.
We would like written feedback after the market dialogue.
