The study aims at identifying best practices on auto-enrolment in pension savings (all forms of retirement savings in funded schemes) in EU countries and in major jurisdictions across the world. The study also aims at measuring the performance of auto-enrolment mechanisms in improving pension adequacy. Finally, the study will provide a scoreboard of existing best practices and detailed conclusions on conditions for and features of well-functioning auto-enrolment mechanisms.
