Green Waste Composting Service for Sefton Council, Knowsley Council, St. Helens Council and Wirral Council
This contract is primarily for delivery of services to council establishments in The Liverpool City Region (LCR) which includes, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley and St. Helens. Sefton Council will act as lead Authority for this contractual agreement.
There is a possibility that the following Authorities may join this contract during the term:
— Halton Borough Council,
— Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd (LSSL),
— Liverpool City Council,
— Cheshire West and Chester Council.
This contract is primarily for delivery of services to council establishments in The Liverpool City Region (LCR) which includes, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley and St. Helens. The composting requirement for all four Councils is currently around 46 500 tonnes per annum. The breakdown per Council is approximately 19 000 tonnes for Sefton, 13 500 tonnes for Wirral, 7 000 tonnes for St. Helens and 7 000 tonnes for Knowsley. The tonnage values represented in this document are for evaluation purposes only and the tonnage figures cannot be guaranteed. The 4 Authorities will however, offer contract exclusivity for Green Waste arising for the duration of the contract.
The contract duration will be for a 5-year core period commencing 1.11.2019, and there will be 2 x 12-month extension options available.
This contract will be renewed after 60 months if the extension options are not taken.
If the 1st extension option is taken the contract will be renewed after 72 months.
If the 2nd option is taken it will be renewed after 84 months.
There are 2 x 12-month extension options available. The first following the 5-year core period, then another after 72 months.
