The initial contract length is seven years. Performance below a specified level (measured against set indicators) will result in the term of the contract being reduced by up to 2 years. Extensions totalling up to three years may be implemented at the Council's discretion depending on performance which will be measured against set indicators. The contract may be further extended, by mutual consent, from 10 years up to 12 years.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Norfolk County Council incorporated a standstill period at the point information on the proposed award of the contract was communicated to tenderers. The standstill period provided time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract was entered in to.
