The main objective is to strengthen national and subnational level agricultural monitoring systems in GEOGLAM partner countries by making available crop monitoring baseline products based on Sentinel data and complementary to the existing global Copernicus land service products.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

For the area of interest (AOI) indicated by the Country Contact and approved by the GEOGLAM secretariat, the service will provide rapid crop type mapping (once within the agricultural growing season and once at the end of the growing season) and derived layers and information (i.e. cropland mask, area cover by crop type). The activity is based on the use of Copernicus Sentinel 1 and 2 imagery and in situ the collection of ground truth data.
