This is a Request for information.

This document is not a prior information notice, a procurement notice, a contract notice or an Invitation to Tender. The purpose of the publication of this request for information is not to start a tendering process. This is a request for information submitted as part of a preliminary study and a market survey.

Data analytics is of strategic importance for Aalto and on national level, since it enables management by data, AI (Artificial Intelligence) science and IoT (Internet of Things) data repository and thus provides direct solutions to Aalto strategic ambitions to be a world class University.

As the result of this tendering process, Aalto will have a contract with one strategic partner to develop analytics in Aalto.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The objective for ITS (Aalto IT Services) is through this tendering process to find a competent long-term partner to fulfill Aalto level need for developing and improving the analytics competence of mainly unstructured data within Aalto. The partner should also be capable of combining unstructured and structured data for analytics purposes. The partner will and can provide technology, tools and competence to guide and teach Aalto specialists to manage data. The partner has experience and skills in data pseudonymization and anonymization.

The partner solution however must not create or maintain a lock-in that constrains development or data use and sharing either through IPR, licensing, multiplexing, proprietary software and/or coding practices.

Companies interested in participating to technical dialogue concerning the matter are requested contact project manager Asko Hentunen (asko.hentunen@aalto.fi) no later than on 28.2.2018 at 13:00 (EET) by email. The message subject should be “Answer: Advanced Analytics as a Service”.

Aalto will send preliminary service description as well other documentation related to the planned procurement of the Advanced Analytics as a Service to the companies that have replied to this Request for Information. We expect to receive comments and questions related to the sent material no later than 9.3.2013 at 13.00 (EET).

Based on the comments we may ask further questions during week 11.
