Operation of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative’s Coordination and Support Office (CCRI-CSO)
The specific subject of this contract is the provision of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative’s Coordination and Support Office (CCRI-CSO) function, aiming at providing coordination and advisory support to cities, regions and territorial clusters’ transition towards a circular economy.
The contract shall include the provision of the following services:
— the creation of the CCRI’s website, helpdesk and visual identity;
— the coordination of the CCRI initiative: ensure coordination, cooperation and synergies with and among the members of the pilot group of circular cities, regions and circular territorial clusters, the Followers, the CCRI Projects and the Associated Partners and with other initiatives and stakeholders relevant for the implementation of the CCRI;
— collect, analyse and select relevant knowledge for the implementation of circular systemic solutions at local and regional scale and make this knowledge available to the pilot group but also to actors not involved in the pilot group;
— create the pilot group;
— support the members of the pilot group in the implementation of their circular systemic solutions;
— identify R&I gaps and technical, regulatory and financial drivers and obstacles for the territorial implementation of the circular economy and provide the contracting authority with precise recommendations to address identified gaps and barriers and to support the identified drivers;
— promote a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the necessary political and regulatory framework to enable a coordinated and complementary approach for supporting the deployment of a territorial circular economy, which is sustainable, regenerative, inclusive and just;
— provide the pilot group, the followers and all stakeholders not directly involved in this initiative with the CCRI methodology for the implementation of a circular economy at the local and regional scale;
— ensure that the relevant knowledge collected and built by the CCRI-CSO, the pilot group, the followers, the CCRI projects and the associated partners during the duration of this contract are made available to all stakeholders not included in the pilot group, but interested in improving circularity in their territories, services, value chains, etc.

The public opening is expected to take place in Espace Orban (ORBN Room 06/A149), Square Frère-Orban 8, B-1040 Brussels. However, if for reasons linked to the pandemic it is not feasible to organise the meeting physically, it will be organised via video conference. The necessary information will be provided via eTendering in the days prior to the opening.
