The Light Rail in Bergen — construction stage 4 — invitation to a market day on 2.2.2018 for tunnel contracts D12 and D15.
This prior information notice is an invitation to a market meeting for tunnel contracts D12 and D15 on the Light Rail, construction Stage 4.
Meeting place: The centre of Bergen, the location will be given upon registration.
Date: 2.2.2018, from 11:00-15:00.

Fløen — Kronstad
This is a ground/tunnel contract on the stretch from AdO arena to Kanaleveien via Haukeland and Kronstad. Tunnel driving for 1400 m from Fløen to Kronstad as well as blasting underground stops (rock hall) and an access shaft/tunnel to them.
Casting a culvert and portal at each end of the tunnel, as well as establishing stops and a track trough. Fylling in Store Lungegårds Lake and re-establishment of the area. Receipt of matter from other contracts for filling in Store Lungegårds lake.
The contract has the following major elements:
— Haukeland tunnel — 1400 m,
— Track trough and surrounding areas — 3000 m,
— Fløen and Kronstad stops,
— Blasting an underground stop and a shaft down to the stop at Haukeland,
— Pedestrian access tunnel from Haraldsplass to the stop — 150 m,
— Portal to the pedestrian tunnel Haraldsplass,
— Foot and cycle bridge (concrete) over the Light Rail at Fløen — 70 m,
— Foot and cycle bridge (concrete) over Møllendalsveien at Fløen — 60 m.,
— Foot and cycle bridge (concrete) over JBV- siding at Fløen — 70 m,
— Portal at Møllendal “Cut and cover” — 190 m,
— Portal at Kronstad — 15 m,
— Portal for the foot and cycle path at Kronstad — 15 m.
This is a tunnel contract on the stretch from Kristianborg to Fyllingsdalen, total 3.1 km. A 3 km long tunnel shall be established for the Light Rail and an equivalent 3 km long foot and cycle path.
The contract consists of driving 2 tunnels through Løvstakken, which are 3000 m long, as well as securing, establishing a portal in Fyllingsdalen, a cross gallery between the tunnels and mechanical equipment for the tunnels. The cover for the foot and cycle path in the tunnel is a part of the contract, the track installations are not included in the work.

The light rail project is part of the Environment Promise. The Environment Promise is a joint term for the city growth agreement and the city package in Bergen. The Environment Promise coordinates efforts on public transport, environmental improvements, road construction, foot and cycle paths and it shall ensure that the goals of a more environmentally friendly city development and transport system are reached. The project office Light Rail Development, which is directly under the county governor, will see to the county's builder responsibilities. Light Rail Development is responsible for the engineering design services for and construction of the Light Rail and surrounding infrastructure and it will hand over a complete installation to the future owners. The track installation will be handed over to Bybanen AS, who, on behalf of Hordaland County, represents the owner and is responsible for track operations.
