EASME wishes to enter into a service contract which has 3 main objectives:
— problem definition: CCIs are dynamic and resilient industries with a big potential to create growth and jobs in the EU. To fully tap into this potential, it is necessary to strengthen their competitiveness. With this in mind, the study will analyse the competitiveness and economic relevance of the CCIs, including their spill-overs to other industries, the main challenges and drivers for change, existing barriers and market and/or regulatory failures (i.e. problem definition and size),
— screening of initiatives: to identify and analyse the strategies put in place at regional and national levels to enhance the competitiveness of CCIs and their links with EU actions,
— recommendations: to propose a set of recommendations for policy action and elaborate on the most appropriate implementation level, bearing in mind EU-wide relevance and impact of specific actions.
