Contract for the Supply of Food Produce delivered to Somerset County Council and North Somerset Council Properties
Somerset County Council (SCC) and North Somerset Council (NSC) are tendering for the supply of:
— fish and seafood,
— fruit and vegetables,
— ambient goods and kitchen supplies and
— frozen food for several venues.
SCC will be leading the procurement on behalf of both authorities. The contract may require the contractor to supply, or facilitate the supply of goods for tasting events and specialist events held at Dillington House, Tropicana, Bay Café, Somerset Hall, The Campus and SORLS properties. The decision to use this contract will be at the sole discretion of individual Council properties. In line with the authority’s sustainability policy, the authority wishes, where possible to work with its contractors to reduce food miles for each lot within this framework, where feasible. The authority requires where specified, local produce sourced from within the South West Region of England. As well as basic quality produce, locally sourced produce is required for lots 1-3.
The authority is inviting bids from applicants in response to this OJEU contract notice. The procurement process that the authority has selected is the open procedure in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
This procurement opportunity is divided into 6 lots as specified below:

One contractor will be appointed per lot.
2 extensions of up to 12 months each totalling 24 months in total.
