Nye Veier AS is expanding its financial contribution in the contract for research and development services with Smart Inspection AS, cf. the public procurement regulations § 2-5.
Nye Veier AS and Smart Inspection AS signed an IFU/OFU contract for the development of a digital platform (Smartlake) on 13.6.2018, the innovation contract. The project is also supported by Innovasjon Norge.
The research and development project was intended to run for approx. 1,5 years. Parts of the project that involved contact and data acquisition from Nye Veiers projects have taken more time than originally thought. Furthermore, during the project period, the parties have seen that the project requires more resources to fulfil Nye Veiers needs as a pilot customer in accordance with the innovation contract. The aim is to arrive at a final product draft with methodology and the requirements specification, which will form the basis for a public procurement in 2020/21, connected to the operation and potential further development of the system.
Based on this, an additional contract will be signed for an extension of the research and development project until 31.12.2020, with an expanded upper limit of 12 000 000 NOK. Innovasjon Norge has given written prior consent to an extension of the project, and the pilot customer's financing of the increased capital need. The rights to the results from the project are governed by the innovation contract dated 13.6.2018 and are not amended as a result of the increase in contribution from the pilot customer. The same applies to the supplier's reporting obligation to Innovation Norge as a basis for final payment.
Section IV: Procedure
The innovation contract is deemed to be covered by the Public Procurement Regulations § 2-5.
This notice is published in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations §21-5, jf. §25-3 (1) letter b).
The parties are now entering into an additional contract that will extend the period for execution and expand the financial framework conditions for the project, without amending the content of the contract. The additional contract will be signed 10 days after the date of this notice at the earliest.
Any objections to the contract being signed must be sent in writing as an email to 'email@example.com', 10 calendar days from the date of this notice.
