National Education Printer Agreement 2 (Nepa 2)
The planned agreement is intended to provide a full document print equipment supply capability along with related services and peripherals. Included in the framework remit is office document print hardware, multi-functional devices, print production hardware, print management solutions and services (including software solution if required) and additional peripheral hardware to enable fulfilment of managed print services i.e. user authentication hardware and money loaders. Large format printers are within scope of the planned agreement. Stand-alone hardware where the primary function is not print (i.e. stand-alone scanners), 3D printers or separate direct sale of print consumables are not included in the planned agreement.
The only restriction on award of lots is suppliers awarded to the independent print audit lot may not be awarded to any other lot.
Non-Managed Print Equipment
Provision of a range of Non managed print equipment.
The framework lots, content and structure are not final and may change. Under no circumstances shall NEUPC incur any liability in respect of this notice or any supporting documentation. NEUPC reserves the right to not proceed to tender, to not proceed to contract or to cancel any subsequent tender and will incur no liability in doing so. Managed print equipment and services, suppliers must supply a range of approved print related equipment and additionally offer a managed service covering institutional print requirements. For the purposes of this framework ‘Managed Print’ encompasses any requirement involving supply of additional service elements following supply of equipment.
Production Print Equipment
Suppliers must supply an appropriate range of approved production print equipment and machinery, additional finishing options both on and off-line plus print management software and associated peripherals.
One Stop Shop
One stop-shop for the supply of all office range printers and MFDs with the ability to provide a managed service where required (as specified in Lot 1 and Lot 2).
Independent Print Audit Service and Consultancy
Provision of print audit services and print related consultancy. Suppliers awarded to Lot 5 will be required to provide an independent print audit service. This service must be totally independent of any awarded OEM. Audits would be expected to include both networked and non-networked devices. A high level of data collection, analysis and provision is required, and suppliers will be expected to make recommendations and aid in the production of further competition/tender documents if requested.
