Construction of Compartment Fire Behaviour Training Facility (CFBT).
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service require a new build CFBT Training Facility on land at Cardiff Gate Training Centre in Old St Mellons.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are undertaking a new build project on land at Cardiff Gate Training Centre in Old St Mellons, Cardiff. The project will provide a CFBT training facility which is required to maintain the effective training of operational personnel. Preparatory work has already been completed to prepare a concept design which has been used to support our planning application for the project, and we envisage receiving consent within the next 3-4 weeks. Further details of the project are contained within the planning pack available via the planning portal.
A NEC3 form of agreement will be used for the project on a 2 stage tender approach. Suitably qualified contractors will be selected through a restricted procedure route.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority's economic and social objectives.
