Management, Collection, Transportation, Recycling or Disposal of General Waste
General waste management comprising of collection, transportation, recycling where possible, or safe disposal from University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust sites.
Scheduled and on request compactor, skip and 1100 litre wheelie bin collections, plus waste removal from site, and recycling or disposal of the following waste types:
— Domestic/black bag waste.
— Cardboard waste recycling.
— Food/kitchen waste.
— Mixed waste recycling.
— Furniture waste/recycling.
— Electrical waste.
— Scrap metal waste.
— Garden/building waste.
— Confidential/paper waste.

a) The announcement of a possible future requirement is not to be construed as confirmation that a tender/contract will subsequently be issued. The issue of a possible future requirement, or the issue of an Invitation to tender, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Authority to place an order as a result of the tendering stage or at a later stage. Any expenditure, work or effort prior to any contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgment of the potential supplier
b) Subject to prior negotiation, the Authority reserves the right to add items of a similar nature to the Contract at a later date.
There will be an option to extend for a further 2 years.

The Trust will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point where the award decision notice is communicated to the tenderers. The award decision notice will specify the criteria for the award of the contract, the reasons for the decision, including the characteristics and relative advantages, the name and score of the successful tender; and will specify when the standstill period is expected to end or the date before which the Trust will not conclude the contract.
