United Utilities is currently undertaking market research and would be interested in talking to suppliers who are able to provide services in line with the specification outlined below. We will then use this information to help determine United Utilities overall approach and any future strategy in relation to the procurement of Project & Programme Management Related Training.

Any subsequent tender will be advertised at a later date via a separate notice.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

United Utilities has a requirement for the provision of Project & Programme Management Related Training, the scope of these agreements is to provide training resource for UU Projects where BAU resource or alternative internal resource is unavailable.

High level scope of requirements:

Systems and Digital Design/Delivery

1) System training — this requirement is in relation to new IT systems that UU is implementing or upgrades to existing systems currently installed. There may be a requirement to work with a third party to design and deliver the system based training or alternatively a requirement to deliver without design involvement and vice versa;

2) Provide digital content — in accordance with UU Branding Guidelines and digital design guidelines, the requirement is to use the current digital project design screen capture tool – Articulate Stayline 2 to design digital content.

Generic Training Design & Delivery

1) This requirement refers to the project design and delivery where the business change relates to process, behavioural or cultural change and there is a requirement for soft skills design and delivery or a more facilitative approach to training delivery.

Key roles required under this framework includes but are not limited to; training manager, project trainer/facilitator, digital content designer.

We would like to hear from suppliers with experience of some or all of the fields listed, who may be able to support United Utilities and who can provide case studies or references to demonstrate their capability in these area’s.

Please note this is not a call for competition, this is pre-market engagement whereby we wish to understand what is potentially on offer.

United Utilities is seeking to gather information from suppliers with a capability to provide the scope of requirements previously detailed.

If suppliers wish to respond to this notice, please provide the following:

1) Company name;

2) Contact details, including location, telephone and e-mail address, main point of contact and position in company;

3) Confirm which of the below requirements of the outlined scope you can provide with details of your company's core skills in relation to each of these areas via a short case study (maximum of 1 A4 page each) to demonstrate your capability in these areas, be it directly or through a trusted subcontractor. The case study should also capture any tools used, examples of design and any innovations explored/implemented.

1) System training

A response to this PIN does not guarantee participation in any future procurement process that United Utilities may conduct. Where this happens, a separate notice will be published and applicants will need to apply separately to take part in that process.
