Works to construct and maintain water pipes and district heating/cooling substations.
The contract mainly involves construction, modification and maintenance works, both routine and non-routine, for district heating/cooling substations and water network pipes on the site: hot water, chilled water, drinking water, refrigeration. It also includes survey and design services, metal joinery works and sewer system maintenance and repair work.

In addition to the aforementioned activities, the following is planned: performance of works with the supply of materials and components (supply and installation); the mere supply to the warehouse of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of thermo-hydraulic materials and components to constitute or replenish the stock of spare parts, or for installations to be carried out at later dates (supply without installation); installations, repairs and modifications of materials and spare parts from the JRC's warehouse for assembly (works without supply).
The following ancillary works are also included: removal (pipes, equipment, machinery, etc.), construction (assistance with walls, excavations, backfilling, galleries, etc.), metal joinery (lofts, pipe racks, railings, access staircases, etc.) and the supply of equipment for internal services at the JRC.
the contract is scheduled to run for an initial 24 months, renewable for a further 24 months.

any observations regarding the award of this procedure may be sent to the authority stated in point I.1.
If you believe there has been maladministration, you may lodge a complaint with the European Ombudsman within 2 years of the date when you became aware of the facts in connection therewith (see http://www.ombudsman.europa.eu). Said complaint neither suspends the deadline for lodging an appeal nor creates a new deadline for appeals.
Appeals may be lodged with the body stated under point VI.4.1 within 2 months of the award decision being notified.
