Enhanced International Trade Advisor (EITA) Service
This PIN is for Market Engagement purposes only. DIT provides an end-to-end service for UK exporters through advisers in the English regions and teams based in British Embassies and High Commissions overseas. Our current domestic International Trade Advisor (ITA) Service is delivered by eight delivery partners over 8 English regions (contracts naturally end in 2020). Following a review DIT is proposing to procure a replacement “Enhanced” service, with improvements that will increase export growth, service additionality, engagement of high potential export businesses (turnover greater than 500 000 GBP), customer satisfaction and ROI per business supported. We are consulting the market on the new enhanced target operating model, which repositions our ITAs to better deliver the export strategy and addresses “lessons learned” in the current model. Lot structures and scope are subject to consultation. Register interest via the email address at 1.3. State “Enhanced ITA” in the email subject.

Section IV: Procedure
Section VI: Complementary information
Following the publication of the PIN on the 5.7.2018 (TED notice number 243926-2018), DIT initiated a period of market sounding which was launched by an event on 10.9.2018. This event was well attended by many interested potential suppliers. At the event, DIT set out the background for proposed changes to the current service and presented a “straw man” operating model as a means of structuring a debate around potential service improvements. Subsequently, DIT invited Suppliers to provide feedback via the means of a market sounding questionnaire which has been used to inform this PIN.
Suppliers that have not already registered with DIT can express an interest to engage with our market sounding process for the new enhanced international trade advisor service, by emailing their expression of interest to the email address at 1.3. Once registered copies of the launch event presentation materials and supplier market sounding questionnaire will be communicated.
