The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) aims to drive up standards in maths and English for all learners. An independent evaluation of our maths and English programmes found that our flexible, integrated and bespoke support has more traction if it is embedded in sustained professional development like, for example, joint practice development projects, professional networks and practitioner-led research. In order to continuously improve the standards in maths and English, this tender will build on and further develop the following programmes:

— functional skills action research projects.

The aim of this project is to provide a joined-up, multi-faceted CPD offer, supporting maths and English practitioners across all post-16 settings. The 3 strands of this tender should encourage a coherent approach to CPD and provide a structure for sustained and embedded change.

This tender has been split in to 3 strands:

— strand 1: Maths and English CPD Programme,

— Strand 2: Regional Specialist Leads,

— Strand 3: Action Research Projects.

Tenderers are welcome to bid for the full contract (all 3 strands) or for an individual strand(s) relevant to them.
