Home Group — Developer for the Development of A New Head Office
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced developer to develop our new head office building on land that we have acquired in a central Newcastle-upon-Tyne location. Developers are sought who have experience of delivering similar new build commercial projects. The developer will be expected to purchase the land from us, construct the building in accordance with the requirements specified in the tender pack and lease back to us a completed head office building via a 30 year lease agreement.

Through this procurement process we are seeking to appoint a developer to develop our new head office building on land that we have acquired in a central Newcastle-upon-Tyne location. The developer will be expected to purchase the land, construct the building in accordance with the designs and requirements specified in the tender documents and lease back to us the completed building via a 30 year lease agreement also included in the document. Interested parties are invited to attend a bidders event to be held in London on 20.1.2020. The contract period of 78 months comprises an 18 month agreement for lease covering the development period followed by a 30 year lease. There may be further extension of the lease at the end of the 30 year term.

The delivery of the development will be subject to industry standard key performance indicators. The successful developer will also be expected to commit to contribute to community benefit initiatives that align to Home Group's social purpose.

Home Group reserves the right to cancel the procurement at any time and not to proceed with all or part of the contract. Home Group will not under any circumstances reimburse any expense incurred by bidders in preparing their selection questionnaire or tender submissions.
The selection questionnaire and tender documents are being made available to bidders via the procurement portal from the outset of the procurement process. However, as Home Group is following the restricted procedure to procure the contract, interested bidders are initially only required to submit a completed selection questionnaire by the deadline in Section IV.2.2) of this notice. Only those bidders that are shortlisted for the tender stage following the selection questionnaire evaluation will be required to submit a tender for the contract in response to the invitation to tender.
