Nano Unmanned Air System — Experimentation
The Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Technology Office intends to procure 30 FLIR Black Hornet PRS systems (“The Product”) for research and development into a capability gap identified by Army HQ in its nano-Unmanned Air System (nUAS) space.
Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bristol/Bath area.
The Authority requires 30 x complete nUAS systems and associated support package by 31.3.2019 in order to maximise exploitation within the STRIKE experimentation.
Section IV: Procedure
FLIR are the only company which can produce the number of nUAS demanded in the timeframe to the required to the specifications detailed above.
They are also capable of supplying the necessary support for an in-field experiment.
“The Product” is proven to be at a high TRL and have the breadth of in-field capability necessary to facilitate this baseline phase for the experiment.

The Authority reserves the right to amend any condition related to security of information to reflect any changes in national law or government policy. If any contract documents are accompanied by instructions on safeguarding classified information (e.g. a Security Aspects Letter), the Authority reserves the right to amend the terms of these instructions to reflect any changes in national law or government policy, whether in respect of the applicable protective marking scheme, specific protective markings given, the aspects to which any protective marking applies, or otherwise.
