II.1.4)Short description:

This tender will deploy the common European data space for cultural heritage, to support the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector. It will foster the creation and reuse of content in various sectors, with value for the economy and society.

The data space will link to relevant European, national and regional initiatives and platforms to provide interoperable access to cultural heritage data in Europe. It will build on the current Europeana DSI and the Europeana Strategy 2020-2025.

The objectives are:

— to facilitate capacity building in the cultural heritage sector;

— to make high-value datasets, in particular 3D, available for scientific research, preservation, restoration, re-use in innovative applications;

— to enable easy access to cultural content, allowing stakeholders to use and benefit from this data space;

— to create digital opportunities for the public, from virtual visits to history reconstruction and education.
