The estimated resources needed for the implementation of the contract are:
year 1: 11 months/person,
year 2: 11 months/person,
year 3: 12 months/person.
Lot 2: methodological development of statistics on crime and criminal justice.
The annual data collection involves jurisdictions in the EU Member States, candidate countries, potential candidate countries and EFTA countries. The current number of jurisdictions is 41.
The annual questionnaire, including the information collected on behalf of the UN and for Eurostat, is expected to cover around 3 000 data items and around 1 000 textual metadata items. The data are collected in spreadsheet format and cover the latest 6 years.
The data file size per country is estimated to be between 1,5–2 Mbyte, equating to an overall size of up to 80 Mbyte, based on the spreadsheet format.
For the manual on the European statistical classification of criminal offences, a pdf version of the document will be required for publication on Eurostat's website, expected to be around 250 pages long and including the translation of approximately 300 classification titles for levels 1–4.
