The subject matter of the contract is a study that identifies and analyses in a forward-looking way the existing role and the maximum realistic potential of EU waterborne inland transport along the TEN-T core network and develops recommendations for strategies and measures to realise this potential in a 2020–2030 time-frame at EU, TEN-T corridor and port level.

1)Short description
The subject matter of the contract is to establish state-of-the-art as regards information repositories and flows and identification of information ownership and access needs for various categories of users and identify business solutions for corridor-based digital platforms. The study will also assess policy measures to implement the digital inland navigation area and digital multimodal nodes, including costs and benefits and support will be provided to pilot cooperation between sea and inland ports implementing the above measures. The coherence between TEN-T and CEF waterborne transport projects and corridor-based digital solutions will be examined.
