Data Tooling Suite
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has recently updated its data strategy in response to changes to technology and improvements in advanced analytics techniques. We wish to be smarter in the way we use our data and advanced analytics to transform the way we regulate and reduce the burden on firms.
To achieve the outcomes of our revised data strategy we require a set of core tools to support data. Part of this transformation will involve updating the tools we require to support our data architecture and data management activities.
Within the next 12 months the FCA aims to go out to tender via a multi-staged open procedure, broken in to specialised lots, for the following tools/solutions: data modelling; data mapping; data catalogue; data quality; reverse-engineering a logical data model from Salesforce orgs; or one or more tools that provide a combination of some or all of the above.
Data modelling: for the development of logical data models, physical data models and conceptual data models.
Data mapping: to map individual elements in one data model with one or more elements in a different data model.
Data catalogue: support understanding, organise, access, discover and govern our data assets.
Data quality: for the identification, understanding and remediation of issues in our data.
Reverse-engineering a Logical Data Model
Reverse-engineering a logical data model from Salesforce orgs: to create a logical data model from our Salesforce Org for use by a data modelling and/or data mapping tool.
One Tool Providing a Combination of Some or all of the Above
One tool that provides a combination of some or all of the FCA data tooling requirements.
