 7.Contract description

The purpose of the contract is to achieve good water status through implementing the WFD (2000/60/EC) and the related daughter directives. River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) for 6 Basins (Antalya, Batı Karadeniz, Doğu Karadeniz, Doğu Akdeniz, Kızılırmak and Marmara) will be prepared in the project. Additionally sectoral water allocation plans and strategic environmental assessment reports will be prepared simultaneously in integrated basin management approach for those basins. Effects of climate change and drought analysis will be examined within sectoral water allocation plans and thereby utilized for RBMPs, as well.

Regulation (EU) No 236/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11.3.2014 laying down common rules and procedures for the implementation of the Union's instruments for financing external action and Regulation (EC) No 231/2014 of the European Parliament and the Council of 11.3.2014 establishing an instrument for pre-accession assistance (IPA II) (OJ L 77/11, 11.3.2014, P. 11).
