International Design Competition for cultural, educational and residential development on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (the Park) (working title: Stratford Waterfront).
This is a open two-stage design competition, for a master-plan for the full Stratford Waterfront site comprising cultural/educational buildings (~80,000 sqm) and residential (~75,000 sqm). An architectural concept is required for the former elements. The competition will incorporate major partner organisations' requirements and will be based on the key principles of integration and sharing common space already agreed by the partner organisations. The brief will set out the urban and architectural design principles, technical and performance requirements and cost parameters for the cultural/educational elements.

London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is already home to some of the most daring and exciting architecture in Europe. A new cultural district is planned as part of the ‘Olympicopolis' regeneration project. This will host world-class arts and educational organisations on a spectacular waterfront site at the gateway to the Park. The search is on for an exceptional design team – including architects, master-planners, place-makers, engineers and landscape designers – to help realize this ambition. The international, open, two-stage design competition for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park's cultural and education hub will launch in September 2014.
