II.4)Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services:
There are approximately 1200 properties on the FCO overseas estate with gas installations and appliances. Each one requires an annual gas inspection. The properties are grouped into geographical packages.
The requirement is for competent, accredited contractors to undertake annual inspections of gas installations, fittings and appliances to the standards indicated in the FCO specification irrespective of the ownership of those items, minor repairs, identification and execution of remedial works.
The requirement is to establish a framework agreement for suitably qualified and accredited contractors to deliver gas period inspection and testing and essential safety works on a worldwide basis for the next 4 years.
The FCO will be running a supplier engagement meeting at the end of August/Early September at the FCO offices in London. The date is to be finalised and will be communicated to all interested parties in due course.
The aim of the meeting is to communicate with the market, further detail the requirements and test delivery ideas / packages of work with the market.

Please note that this framework is for overseas gas testing and inspection only. There is no UK testing within the remit of this framework. The FCO have recently tendered the 2014/15 testing and this framework will commence in April 2015 for testing until 2019.
